Sketches from today to practice with flow and gesture. I'm happy with how these came out :) The girl on the top is also a bounder, but has been a "bounder" since the 1970s and enjoys the company of the guy bounder I've been drawing. Enjoy!

I really, really like Gravity falls and I realized that I haven't drawn Wendy and Robbie. Robbie looks a lot nicer in this than he actually is in the show. Enjoy!

Figure Drawing Fun

Figure drawings from last night :) It sure is nice to get back to drawing figures since it's been awhile since I've drawn some figures. I prefer shorter poses since you can get more of a gesture in a pose, in comparison to a long pose where it can be more static and you focus on the shading and detail. Enjoy!

Bounder Meets the Earth Princess

Some late late night sketches I drew since I got some inspiration. :) I noticed I draw weird things when it's late at night since I'm just sketching rather than thinking about what I'm drawing. Anyways, the Bounder is supposed to be turning into a tree unless he leaves the Earth Princess's forest.  I also wanted to make the Earth Princess look more owl like since she is a shapeshifter than can turn into an owl. Enjoy!

Rescuer

My character, Vol, from my beat board sequence that I posted earlier today. He is an alien who comes to earth to learn about how humans interact and about love.  I might want to do more with his character in the future :) Enjoy!

"Rescue" Beat Boards

These beat boards were inspired by the song Shell Suite by Chad Valley (such an awesome song!) Anyways, this story idea was based on the first thing that popped into my head when I was listening to the song.  I really liked scifi and action, which is why I draw sketches or storyboards around those genres. For these beat boards I wanted to play around with composition, camera angles, and lighting in order to make my shots more cinematic. Enjoy!  

Hourly Comic Challenge Feb. 1st
