NEWS!

Well y'all it's official. In the new year I start full time as a Jr. Story artist on an upcoming movie. I am so excited and thankful, and I can't wait to learn and grow and keep pushing forward from the experience. I still have much to learn but I am stoked to keep on keepin on.

Gestures

Flower Crown

Quick lunch warm up from yesterday. To be honest I prefer drawing on good ol printer paper on a clipboard since the paper's texture is like animation paper, and I don't have to keep it in a bound book. Enjoy! 

I like Space

Final sketch and process sketch to show how I go about drawing. I actually like the sketch better than the final, mainly because of the life in the lines that you can only get in a sketch. Plus I like the appeal in the face better in the sketch. On another note I've been drawing a lot and being busy, busy, busy with something drawing related. It's super exciting and a lot of fun and I'm learning a ton. Enjoy!

Day 31 Candy (aka the last inktober)

Last inktober Day 31 "Candy?" I can't believe it's over already! It was a fun challenge and definitely a lot more used to ink sketching now. Tomorrow though I'm going to draw a lot in pencil. Enjoy!

Day 29 and 30 Hermes and Outfit

Days 29 and 30. Woohoo I'm almost done with inktober! It was a fun adventure and I definitely learned a lot having to sketch in ink everyday. (Not gonna lie though got real lazy at the end) Anyways have some random night sketches. Enjoy!

Day 27 "Beats" I was listening to Language by Porter Robinson while drawing this. Gotta love them electronic beats. Plus the song brings back good memories for me. Enjoy!

Day 26 "Faces" I wanted to continue drawing heads (well faces) today, so I decided to use my thin pen to sketch since I'm a bit sharpied out to say the least......I'm actually going to miss inktober once it ends :( it was a good challenge and I feel like I've grown as an artist and have gained more confidence in myself. Day 23 and 24

Day 23 and 24. So happy my Sherlock is finally coming back! I can't contain my excitement! Also a random 2000s kid. Gotta love layering shirts and spiked hair. 

Clean Sweep Folk

Sketches of some characters from my long forgotten webcomic, Clean Sweep. I really need to update it, and the style and story have drastically changed in the two year hiatus. That and my character Rick is a much more involved character, and Nolan is completely changed. I also am thinking of having one part in 1800s Japan for kicks (hence the kimono girl). Enjoy!

Forest Spirit

This week's drawing challenge was the color purple. I decided to draw a girl meeting a forest spirit. This is not connected to the Earth Princess story, but I might incorporate the stag somehow. Enjoy!

Pacific Rim and Mech

I finally got around to watching Pacific Rim, and I loved it! Anything scifi with robots and tech is my fave if you haven't noticed. Plus a random extra sketch of mech girl holding a dangerous alien life form that she caught. Enjoy! (also, I have victoriously gotten over my art block and feel excited to draw again)

Day 19 "Chilll Step" I think I'm at the bitter end of my art block, which is good since I'm feelin a bit more inspired. Listened to a lot of chill step mixes while sketching this. Enjoy!
