Freaks

Sketches inspired by the song "Freaks" by The Hawk in Paris. I wanted to try out more shape design for my characters, as well as trying out more flow in my drawings. Enjoy!

The Bounder and the Tree Elder

Sketch of a young Bounder with a tree elder. I wanted to experiment drawing a scene entirely with a pencil and shading. It was a lot of fun rendering the trees a bit in scribbles. Enjoy!

Bounder Homes

Environment designs of "The Bounder's" homes. I wanted them to look like the Bounder constructed them out of whatever he found in a car scrap yard, or whatever fell off of cars he was tracking. I might do more of these later (they're so much fun!). Enjoy!

Tree Princess

Sketches inspired by the song "Heartbeats" by The Knife :) I wanted her character design to look like leaves blowing in the wind, and to add a feel of royalty to her design. Enjoy!

Tree Spirits

Sketches inspired by the song "Wake Up" by The Hawk in Paris (their new EP is awesome!). These characters are tree spirits that exist within the "Bounder" universe. They don't really like the Bounders since they use trees as a landing mark when they are jumping and running. I might want to do more with their designs to help expand the world of the Bounders. Enjoy!

Perry in Wonderland

Another short film that I made with my sisters :) It was a lot of fun being able to plan out more of the action, and to be able to have actual "cuts" and changes in the environment. I really enjoy doing stop motion shorts, since I like bringing physical objects, "to life" :) Enjoy!

Freeway

Birds on a Wire

Drawing inspired by the song "Birds on a Wire" by The Hawk in Paris. It's supposed to be a Bounder flying/falling. I don't really know what to make of this pic, but it was interesting drawing a different angle. Enjoy!

Haru

Stop motion animation that I made with my sis :) It was my first stop motion animation I've ever done, and I had a fun time animating! I might do some more short films just for fun. Totoro is supposed to be dropping seeds from the bad on his shoulder, but it ended up looking like he was pooping......Anyways, Enjoy! :)

Pen Girl

Sketches to test out a new pen that I bought in Japan :) I'm trying to use fewer lines when sketching, and to just focus on the flow of the overall drawing. It's actually quite relaxing using fewer lines when sketching since I can visualize the drawing as a whole. Enjoy!

Japan 2012

 Hi guys! :) I recently got back from a trip to Japan, which was absolutely awesome! I loved every minute of it, and just being able to experience the culture, weather (it was so hot!), and talking to the people of Japan. I sketched a lot during the trip, and I wanted to do a giant sketch dump to show all of them at the same time :). I really want to go back to Japan someday (I love it so much!). Enjoy!

 I really enjoyed sketching in Japan :) (the Japanese says "I love Japan!")

 I was able to wear a 浴衣 [cotton kimono] while I was in Japan, and I was inspired to draw a character wearing one :).

Frizzy Expressions

Expressions practice of my "Frizzy haired" character. I really like drawing expressions, especially in storyboards since you can do a lot with the acting. Enjoy!
