December Night

I wanted to try experimenting with lighting and mood with colors and viola! here it is! :) I also wanted to try experimenting with a 1940s style costume for a character. Enjoy!

Victorian Couple

I felt like drawing a Victorian couple just for fun to get some practice drawing different costume styles :) I was inspired by the song Atlas Hands by Benjamin Francis. Style-wise, I think I'm going to start experimenting drawing in this style :) Enjoy!

Test Animated GIF

After a whole lot of work, I've finally been able to upload my animated gif to my blog :) This is the first one I've ever done, and I thought I might as well jump on the bandwagon since a lot of blogs that I follow have animated gifs. The gif if supposed to be of me doing a "Happy Dance" :) Enjoy!

A Lovely Sketch Dump

These sketches are both from my sketchbook and just on a regular piece of bristol board.  The first two sketches were done while I was listening to the song "Young Blood" by The Naked and Famous (which is such an awesome song and band), and the third one was done while I was watching old episodes of the show Psych.  Enjoy! :)

Fun Random Sketches

Here are some sketches I did to get some training on the Cintiq :) (man it's fun to draw on that thing!) Anyways these were done in Photoshop with a chalk brush on dissolve mode.  I thought drawing Phineas and Ferb in a different style would be fun to see if I could draw the characters from memory, but with a different take on how the characters look. Enjoy! :)

Pirouette Hipster

Here's another Photoshop sketch I did today :) It's a hipster eating a pirouette that's meant to look like a cigarette.  Originally it was a cigarette, but I didn't know how to position it in his hand so then it turned into a pirouette. Hope you like it and enjoy! :)

Fun with Brushes

I decided to test out some different brushes in Photoshop since I haven't done this sort of style in a long time. I made the character's skin purple just for fun and to add to the use of colors in the drawings. Enjoy! :)

Test Photoshop Animation

I decided to test out the animation option again in Photoshop for fun :) I wanted to see how the animation flowed in this program, and also as a fun exercise :) The character is supposed to be Nolan :) Enjoy!
